Call For Abstracts is now open!
Submission deadline: December 13, 2021

Meeting Updates

Call for Abstracts: The call for submissions to the 2022 COA/CORS/CORA Annual Meeting is now closed. The abstracts are now under review and authors will be notified of acceptance in February. Please email education@canorth.org with any questions.

2022 Featured Subspecialty: The COA highlights different subspecialties with the objective of elevating educational content and engaging underrepresented and smaller subspecialties. This year, orthopaedic oncology will be the featured subspecialty. Symposia will include general-interest oncology topics applicable across orthopaedic subspecialties, and tumour research will be highlighted.

Poster Presentations: All accepted posters will be displayed on the virtual platform in e-poster format (single PDF loaded in, with abstract). The Program Committee may select some poster categories to be displayed as physical poster, on site at the meeting venue. By submitting an abstract for consideration, submitters and presenters agree that accepted poster presentations may result in an additional physical presentation opportunity at the meeting venue.  Those selected for physical posters will be notified at the time of acceptance.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS DISCLAIMER:

The COA remains committed to offering quality accredited programming, and to providing presentation opportunities to our members.  Should provincial gathering capacity restrictions remain in place at the time of the Annual Meeting, or if public health guidelines restrict or prevent the Annual Meeting to be held as an in-person event, by submitting an abstract for consideration, submitters and presenters agree that accepted presentations may result in either a virtual or in-person presentation opportunity.  The COA reserves the right to alter and determine presentation format, scheduling and inclusion in the final program and to inform accepted presenters of the presentation format when determined.  We will continue to monitor the regulations and keep our members informed.

To ensure a safe learning environment, the COA complies with provincial public health orders requiring all participants of conferences and meetings to provide proof of adequate vaccination against COVID-19 to access the meeting facility and onsite programming.  All speakers and participants of the 2022 Annual Meeting will be required to show proof of adequate vaccination along with corresponding photo ID to access the meeting facilities.  More information about Quebec’s proof of vaccination requirements can be found here.

Further information will be provided at the point of notification in the New Year.
