The Canadian Orthopaedic Association is unequivocally opposed to discrimination in any form. Individuals from all races, ethnicity and other backgrounds and cultures have made valuable contributions to the art and science of orthopaedic surgery over many years.
The science that our profession is firmly based on is not a political construct or belief system. Continued growth and progress in the delivery of high quality orthopaedic care is dependent on openness, transparency and the free flow of ideas and people around the world. Global collaboration is only possible when governments do not restrict lawful travel for spurious reasons.
