Resident Membership to CORA and the COA
CORA membership: All orthopaedic resident doctors in Canada are automatically granted membership to CORA. CORA members will receive periodic email updates from CORA related to the Annual Meeting and various scholarship and other opportunities for residents.
COA membership for residents: COA membership is not automatically granted to residents. Canadian orthopaedic residents can apply to become COA Associate members. Associate membership is free, and requires you to complete a simple membership application form.

Canadian Orthopaedic Residents’ Forum (CORF)
The CORF course in an annual event preparing resident surgeons in the final training year for the Royal College exam. Resident participants must be COA Associate members in order to participate. COA Global Surgery (COAGS) Committee Call for Resident Submissions to COA Bulletin
COAGS was formed as a means of bringing Canadian orthopaedic surgeons together to share ideas and promote opportunities for providing global humanitarian care. Bones and Phones Resident Scholarship Opportunity from the Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation
The Bones and Phones Legacy Scholarship Fund was established to recognize orthopaedic residents who have demonstrated commitment and contribution to enhancing musculoskeletal health in their community, or abroad, beyond that which would be expected during their residency training period. One thousand dollars is awarded on an annual basis to an orthopaedic resident in his or her year prior to their final year of clinical training. Click here for more information.
