This spring, a proposed Checklist to Evaluate Global Surgery Partnerships was published (Binda et al, Ann Surg, 2024). It is meant to be a tool to improve the sustainability of the work that we do with lower-resourced partners, be it education, research, advocacy or other. The UBC group’s ultimate goal is to create a solid framework for clinicians and researchers from both high and low-resource settings to engage in meaningful partnerships to improve surgical care worldwide.
If interested in consulting the checklist, and giving your thoughts and opinions on it, click here for the QR code.
The preliminary results were presented as a poster at CSF in Winnipeg, you can see the poster here.
Thank you for your participation, and please do not hesitate to contact the investigators directly if any questions or comments: emilie.joos@vch.ca / catherinejbinda@gmail.com
