Training

AAC Post-Graduate Fellowship Application for Certification

The Arthroscopy Association of Canada (AAC) has developed an accreditation process for Canadian fellowships in Sport Medicine/Arthroscopy.  The purpose of the database is to standardize basic competencies across different programs and simplify the fellowship search and application process for residents. All training programs are encouraged to apply for registration and accreditation to further the development of post graduate training in Sport Medicine/Arthroscopy in Canada.

Fellowship Criteria
  • Minimum 6 months in duration
  • Minimum of 50% of clinical case load in arthroscopic surgery of any joint
  • Designated program contact or director
  • Dedicated time for educational and/or research activity within fellowship

Please send the following information to AAC via Fellowships Chair Dr. Michaela Kopka: aac@canorth.org.

Fee
  • Initial application fee of $500
  • Annual renewal fee of $250

Please send cheque addressed to Canadian Orthopaedic Association, indicating ‘AAC Accreditation’ on the memo line. The fee will only be processed if the fellowship is approved for accreditation.
