Membership

New Members – Joining CSES is Easy!

If you consider shoulder and elbow to be a component of your practice and you would like to become a CSES member, please review the membership criteria below and send an email to cses@canorth.org, including following:

  • Membership category
  • A recent copy of your CV, attached (including hospital affiliation, if applicable)
Active Membership (Orthopaedic Surgeons)

Benefits:

  • All benefits of Associate Membership.
  • Voting rights in CSES governance.
  • Eligible to apply for all CSES committees and the executive board.
  • Eligible to be selected as faculty or speaker for workshops, webinars, CSES resident course and CSES members meeting.
  • Opportunities to be a mentor in the trainee program.
  • Eligibility for leadership positions and major research grants.

Requirements:

1)     Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Orthopaedic Surgery or recognized national equivalent

2)     Submission of full CV for review by CSES exec membership committee: should demonstrate active practice with a focus on shoulder and/or elbow surgery (includes personal statement or practice profile, subspecialty clinical fellowship, publications, grants….etc).

3)     Full annual dues ($100)

 

 

Associate Membership (orthopaedic surgeons: early career surgeons 1-5 years out, clinical fellows and residents)

Benefits:

  • Access to online educational resources (webinars, selected lectures).
  • Reduced registration fees for CSES meetings and educational events.
  • Networking opportunities with experienced surgeons.

Requirements:

  1. For Emerging Surgeons: Completion of an accredited orthopaedic residency and a recognized shoulder and elbow fellowship (or equivalent demonstrated expertise).
  2. Annual dues ($30).

 

Affiliate (researchers, PT/OT, Physician assistants and other allied health professionals )

Benefits:

  • Full access to CSES online resources and publications.
  • Discounted registration for all CSES meetings and events.
  • Eligibility for general CSES research grants.
  • Listing in a searchable member directory (optional).
  • Opportunity to join committees as non-voting members.

Requirements:

1)     For Allied Health: Proof of relevant professional licensure/certification and demonstrated practice in shoulder and elbow care.

Annual dues of $50

Senior Membership (Retired from Practice)

No annual dues
