Webinar: Patient Safety and Same-Day Orthopaedic Surgery

In partnership with Healthcare Excellence Canada, Choosing Wisely Canada and Canadian Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation we are pleased to welcome discussion on the topic of same-day surgery with the patient safety lens.

By the end of the session, learners will be able to:
– Describe pre/post-operation efficiencies to streamline same-day patient discharge
– Review the concept of therapeutic falls
– Explore various ethical and practical considerations related to falling, risk and autonomy in rehabilitation
– Consider the extent to which therapeutic falls may be relevant to same-day surgery
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by the Canadian Orthopaedic Association. You may claim a maximum of 1 hour (credits are automatically calculated).
